Ten questions per student, drawn from a bank of 385 across Python, NumPy and Pandas. Ten core questions weighted towards Python, five on SQL, and two hands-on Python tasks on the laptop. Every set has the same difficulty mix, so no student gets an easier interview than another. Model answers and solutions included — you do not need to know the subject to run this.
Tick these off for every student. They are part of the assessment.
“Tell me about yourself.” Two minutes. Do not interrupt. You are listening for whether they can structure an answer, not for the content.
“Take me through one project from your resume.” Ask what their specific contribution was. If they say “we” throughout, ask what they personally wrote.
Then move to the ten questions below.
Five questions. SQL ran for twenty-three sessions, so this section can be pushed harder than the Python and Pandas ones.
Two hands-on tasks. Let them type it themselves in a notebook. Give them a few minutes each — you are watching how they approach it, not only whether it runs.
All 385 questions with answers. Search or filter to prepare, or to pick a follow-up.
